How is the video quality?
The camera is with high-quality videos, it is much clearer than my previous 1080P one. It detects motion and sends alerts, I can view super clear videos on the HeimSmart app. My baby dog running, baby playing in the living room, all very clear. This cam is outstanding.
I wanna to try the cloud service, where can I know more details of it?
The cloud storage is optional, I am now using the 7-day free trial, it works fine, I can check the record anytime. You can turn to the APP or HeimVision official site for more details, it seems the offer is reasonal. If you don't want pay, you can also use the MicroSD card to record, it also works fine.
How is this HeimVison 2k camera powered?
The camera comes with an AC/DC 12V adapter, just plug it into your outlet, it works fine.
Can this be on recording mode 24/7 or only records when motion is detected?
This smart camera keeps recording 24/7, when motion is detected it will alerts you on your mobile device.
Can I run two more of these cameras on the same app?
Yes, I believe that there are no limits, they show up in the same app under your devices.
Is this product compatible with both 2.4 GHz and 5ghz wi-fi networks?
It only works with 2.4GHz, just like other Wi-Fi enabled items.
Can i add this mate a1 camera to other heimvision cameras, like hm202a, hm203 indoor cameras?
No, you can't. They have different App. This HeimVision MATE A1 only works with "HeimSmart" App, it works fine. The APP is friendly and with simple UI design, I like it very much.
Can I use this cam as a baby monitor? Especially at night, if my baby cries, will it alert me?
Definitely, I use mine as a baby and pet monitor, it will send alerts to my phone and I talk to my babe to calm her down while I am walking to her room.
Does remote access still work if the cloud storage option is not used? I prefer the SD card?
Yes, you can view sd card stored videos from anywhere. It supports SD card local storage, and the cloud storage for options.
